Smania

Smania

Smania, founded in 1967 by Alberto Smania, began as an iron manufacturing venture where Alberto crafted unique tables from iron scraps, marking the company's entry into the furniture industry. Over the decades, Smania expanded its material repertoire, incorporating bamboo, briar-root, and wenge wood, each contributing to the brand's distinctive aesthetic.

The 1980s saw Smania pioneering the use of polished briar-root in polyester, a move that facilitated its expansion into international markets. In 1997, the company introduced its first outdoor collection, "Eden," featuring materials like midollino, rope, and iron, which gained prominence on the global stage.

Smania's commitment to innovation is evident in its collaborations with designers such as Alessandro La Spada, who began working with the company in 2009, infusing new creative directions into its collections. The brand's philosophy, encapsulated in the slogan "Furnish your Style," reflects its dedication to crafting bespoke, luxurious furniture that resonates with individual tastes.

Today, Smania stands as a symbol of Italian craftsmanship, offering a diverse range of indoor and outdoor furnishings that blend classic and modern elements, appealing to discerning clients worldwide.
