Making sure there will be ample room for your guests to be seated is imperative to success in your living area. Guests need to feel welcomed and comfortable so a large sofa is incredibly important. Use soft furnishings like scatter cushions and throws to make your living space more festive, the gold and black cushions against the cream King Chesterfield sofa perfectly complement the accents of the room and create a festive feel. A gold side table with marble base showcasing a simple vase filled with white Gypsophila flowers adds an elegant touch to the interior whilst not distracting from the Christmas Tree in the corner of the room.  
 

Your living room is likely to be the centre of the entertainment, so although you’ll want to show off your tree in all of its glory, we’d suggest placing it behind seating to open up the space. The colour scheme you choose for your tree is entirely down to preference; however, we chose to combine tones of different accents in the room to create a cohesive look. If you are aiming for the London Look then choose a mix of different golds, bronzes, brown cones, natural foliage and red berries to give a subtle and elegant aesthetic. To add a finishing touch, add stacked gifts to areas of the room to create more of a festive feel.
 

The lighting you opt for can determine the ambience of the room, during the day you’ll want splashes of light for entertaining and then something subtle for after the festivities, we used the Alamo table lamp to create a warm feel after dark. A bold lamp can act as a statement piece to your room whilst remaining practical. If you want to create a real statement in your living space then invest in a new chandelier and have table lamps dotted around for the ambient feel.
